In Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3DX, players can get a "Level" corresponding to their progress and a "Title" corresponding to their gaming style.

The first level is "N Class".
Your level rises, one step at a time, when you satisfy certain conditions during the game.
Your level rises as follows:
N Class -> C9 Class -> C8 Class -> ...... -> C1 Class -> B9 Class -> B8 Class -> ...... -> B1 Class -> A9 Class -> ...... ?
Your level does not fall, even if you lose.

Your level is displayed at the lower right of the screen during the game.It is also printed on the card.

The conditions you need to fulfill to increase your level in the first stages are as follows: (there are other hidden conditions for increasing your level)

Your level goes up every time you complete 10 episodes.

Dua dari mobil Mazda (MazdaSpeed Atenza & Mazda Roadster) akan diterjemahkan sebagai     MazdaSpeed 6 dan Mazda MX-5 dalam versi bahasa Inggris.

Yang Gemballa dapat dipilih pada mesin Jepang saja, tetapi dapat diperdagangkan ke Bahasa Inggris mesin dengan menggunakan Sistem Pertukaran Bahasa.

Mobil - mobil rahasia dapat diperoleh menggunakan cheat rahasia saja. (nanti akan dibahas selanjutnya.)

Release Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 DX

Pada bulan Desember 2008, versi terbaru dari MT3, disebut Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 DX, dirilis. Fitur baru termasuk yang baru Expressway Nagoya Tentu saja, seorang tenaga kuda untuk increasement dari 825 hp (615 kW), 100 tahap-tahap cerita dan bahkan lebih dari mereka, dan kendaraan baru: Subaru Impreza WRX STI (GRB), Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X MR , Mazda MX-5  dan Nissan 370Z. Juga fitur baru adalah suatu mekanisme yang mencegah pemain dari membuat salinan permainan kartu magnetik. 

Beberapa perubahan telah diamati:
Versi 1 dan versi 2 kartu data tidak dapat ditransfer atas, hanya versi 3 kartu data yang dapat ditransfer atas.
Ada tambahan "DX" tercetak di bagian kanan atas kartu data untuk membedakan antara kartu MT3 dan 3DX
Resmi mobil di Time Attack mode dihapus.
Kartu MT3 berbayang unshaded ketika ditransfer atas, memberi pemain kesempatan untuk menyelesaikan cerita belum selesai tahapan dalam modus terkalahkan tanpa harus memulai lagi dari tahap 1.
Di versi C. dari MT3DX, jika Anda kalah di mana pun di storymode, Anda akan berbayang unshaded tanpa status.  
Hakone inbound dan outbound digabungkan menjadi satu saja
